Ruth Asawa, Hyatt on Union Square Fountain, San Francisco, 1973. Cast bronze (13'3" diameter x 7' high). Asawa made the model for this fountain using baker's clay or dough. It was then cast in bronze. The fountain depicts San Francisco, and approximately 250 friends and school children helped in its making by contributing self-portraits, cars, buildings, and various San Francisco landmarks.
